Quick Hits

-Games I watched
Washington-Syracuse
Virginia Tech-East Carolina
Georgia Tech-ND
Colorado-Colorado State (Partial)
Missouri-Illinois (Partial)
Nebraska-Nevada
Tenn-Cal
Flipping between OSU-Georgia and Kstate-Auburn

-Yes, App. State over Michigan is the biggest upset in college football history. I still can't believe it happened. O yeah, I'm glad I didn't post a blog last week because I thought Michigan had the best chance at an undefeated season.

-Games I'll glad I didn't watch: Texas-Arkansas St - From what I've read the Horns just didn't come to play an entire game. OU-UNT - Surely Bradford can't be that good right?? Chaz I don't know if you read this, but do you still think Bradford will be replaced by mid-season?

-How did you feel about Gameday being at Virginia Tech? When they first announced they were going there I was disappointed because I think Gameday should be at the best game of the day (which would have been Tenn/Cal). I think they did do a great job of trying to capture the emotion of the day and what college football means to universities.

-A few more Gameday quick hits: -I'm not a fan of them broadcasting at a game that starts right after the show. The atmosphere is never the same because most of the fans start heading off to the game. - Why are there no flags in the audience? My favorite part of Gameday used to be looking at all the different flags the fans had. I'm pretty sure that security doesn't allow flags in, I'm guessing because the poles could be used as a weapon. Pretty lame. - I never thought I would say this, but the Big and Rich song is growing on me. I think this is year three of the song. The first year I was so mad because Gameday probably has the best theme song in the history of theme songs, but "We're coming to your city" is not as bad as it once was.

Any other Quick Hits??

I'm not ready to crown Bradford the next Jason White, but he looked very solid. But how much can you tell from playing a high school defense? And another thing, about half of his yards came from YAC on bubble screens to the wide outs. Although his throws down field looked really accurate. We'll see this weekend.

I didn't mind Gameday being at Va. Tech. I thought it was good for the game. Now, I can't say I'm too happy about then doing VTech games twice in two weekends (this weekend they're at LSU).

Did you notice that Herbstreit was doing gameday in Blacksburg and then called the Cal/TENN game later that night in Berkeley? That's got to be a long day.

It is confirmed. Chaz has officially changed his stance on Sam Bradford. He told me.
