What is the history behind the basketball heckle "Air Ball"? If I had to bet I would have put my money on the Cameron Crazies, and I would have been correct. It was first used back in 1979 in a game against none other then the hated Tar Heels. I was thinking about this because I feel like the chant has run its course, but it is great when pulled off by the crazies. Now we know.

Great research and how fitting that this comes up with their first game against eachother this year on Wednesday. In my blog I predicted they would drop both games to the Heels but for some reason I feel like they will come out and play some inspired ball, finding a way to win. (Who am I kidding...)
So did you win the contest?
I forgot Duke can't finish a game (see the last three great starts). I feel like the Red Sox are playing and it isn't even baseball season...
